Will you ever make a book based in Shadesmar?
Yes, I will, actually. There's one that I've plotted in Silverlight. Whether I'll be able to write it as a whole book, or whether I'll be able to do it just as a novella I'm not sure yet. But I do actually have a plotted-out story with Khriss as the protagonist in Shadesmar.

Silverlight
We're almost far enough in the cosmere where I can set a story in Silverlight. It would be a novella, rather than a full novel. I don't expect it in 2017, but you all know enough tidbits about Silverlight that I can at least put it on the list now.

The universities of Silverlight, where is that headquartered?
In the city of Silverlight.
Does that happen to be in Shadesmar like the IRE are?
A lot of people think that it is what they call (the fans) The Restaurant At The End Of The Cosmere. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I haven't talked about where it is yet.
Will we see more of that in novels?
Yes, Silverlight will be referenced. I have a story brewing set in Silverlight.
Will you write a novella on Silverlight?
Someday I want to, but I can't promise it. It's if it fits in. I've got a really good, nice Silverlight story that I want to tell, but whether I can get to it... There are just so many things competing, and the only things I will commit to are the core Cosmere stories.

Silverlight and Wandersail novellas. Silverlight...not soon. Wandersail, potentially while I'm working on Stormlight 4.

Hmmm, I just read this timetable update then went back and read State of the Sanderson 2016. I think there is a decent chance that the novella between The Apocalypse Guard 2 and 3 could be Silverlight. Could we be so lucky, /u/mistborn?
There's a decent chance. I've also got several on First of the Sun plotted, which are possibilities--and even a Threnody story I want to do. However, there's also a non-cosmere "minority report" style thriller I want to write, and a more thoughtful story about a world where big data predicts all of our choices. So...who knows.
Do you have any thoughts on a short story set on Nalthis? It's the only major Shardworld we haven't yet revisited.
I haven't been able to get any shorts on Nalthis to work so far. Maybe eventually.

Silverlight novella probably needs to wait until I've done the Threnody novel, for some connective tissue reasons, but we'll see.
Quick question. Will we ever see the Traveller short story be published in something like Arcanum Unbounded 2?
Probably not, at least not without a rework.
This just further leads me to bet that the new group that'll be introduced in the Threnody novel will have Silverlight ties.

Will it by chance be tied to how Nazh has gotten involved with Khriss?
No, though we're working on a White Sand graphic novel sequel that will start into that story, hopefully.
