Are the lighteyes descendants of the first people who took the Shards after the Knights Radiant abandoned them?
I'm afraid I have to RAFO this too.
Found 1141 entries in 0.241 seconds.
Who's telling "Unite Them" to Dalinar because it's obviously not Stormfather nor Honor because he's hearing it even outside of the visions, right?
He is hearing that, that is a RAFO. You can have a RAFO card.
What is Wyrn’s or Hrathen’s seons’ names?
Um that is--
Or if you don’t know the name off the top of your head then what the Aon translates as.
Right. It’s been ten years, it’s in the notes. It will be important when I write the second ones.
Is there a specific mineral deposit around the Purelake? Is there a sacred enclave?
Did Doomslug come with the ship or the cave?
You will have an answer to that in book 2. So that's a RAFO, with a promise.
I was also wondering: Shardblades, will there ever be any that aren't swords?
That is a RAFO.
Along the lines of chromium, according to the new Hemalurgy table, they "might steal destiny." Is destiny Fortune, or is it something new?
Regarding the sibling relationships of Yesteel/Arsteel and VaraTreledees/Shashara, were either pairing Returned simultaneously? If so, how did they know they were siblings? And do any of the four know their original birth names? Finally, is it coincidence that there are two pairs of siblings in the Five Scholars or is there something more at work?
I do intend to delve into questions like in your first point when I return to that world, so I'll RAFO for now.
I can't take credit for this, because it is a friend's question, but he has this little theory that your more quiet and reserved characters end up being super important or just interesting characters somehow and he has this theory that Dabbid from Kings is like a worldhopper that just went there and like "I'm just going to stay quiet and watch what's going on."
The question is: Is Dabbid from The Way of Kings, who you may not quite remember, he is the bridgeman who is very quiet and displays some very strong signs of PTSD, and things like this, even though he was healed. Is it-- Yeah, what's going on with him. And that is definitely a RAFO. But it's not a RAFO-- Like sometimes Read And Find Out means "I'm going to reveal it eventually", sometimes it means "I don't want to crush any fans' theories" and I won't tell you which one it is until the end of the series...
Can you tell me who the herald is for the Truthwatches.
RAFO, sorry, good question.
How about one of the surges?
I am RAFO'ing the Truthwatchers entirely.
Voidbinding, and what Renarin does, we are still very confused about how much--
I am happy that you are very confused about that, because I haven't explained it very much.
And Renarin didn't figure it out very much.
And he hasn't figured out it much, yeah. And we're not even sure whether he's a Voidbinder.
He's probably a Voidbinder, right. Then I'm not going to ask you that, because you're going to say RAFO.
What are the Deepest Ones? ...The quote is "God Beyond protect them if the fighting had drawn one of the Deepest Ones" from Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell.
You will find out if I ever write the next book... the next book set on Threnody.
Silverlight is old?
No Khriss is old. *laughter*
I know Khriss is old--
Let's RAFO Silveright until I set something there. Here's the thing. It's weird.
I'm gonna take a stab at Kaladin's fourth oath. Is it, "I will not feel bad about slaughtering my enemies?"
...You know I'm not going to answer that. But I tell you what, it's been recorded by the fan sites, everything I say, so if you're right you're on record. But I'm not going to tell you.
And then the final question. At the beginning of Words of Radiance, the assassin Liss, is she Chana?
*Evil laugh* I will RAFO that. Sorry!
Why are all the dead Shardblades blades?
That will be answered eventually, so I'm gonna RAFO that for now.
Is the silver on Threnody imbued with investiture? The presence of a silver knife in Stormlight leads me to believe Threnodoic Silver is actively different than average silver and Threnody's silver could be used off-world in a way - say - Sel's silver couldn't.
I'm RAFOing most questions about Threnody for multiple reasons. It's a RAFO you shouldn't read too much into, however.
The really question is, given the death of Rayse, is Honor really dead? Or is his essence out there, still available to be claimed?
I will answer this for certain by the end of Book Five. For now, RAFO.
In Warbreaker, how does Denth remember who his sister is if he was Returned?
That is an excellent question and it will be answered. It is a conscious decision of mine, doing that. It is something you are supposed to be wondering. In the future books I want to delve into that sort of thing a lot more. So, Read And Find Out, but it was a "That wasn't a mistake" Read And Find Out.
The mushrooms on Threnody... What's up with them? They were described as glowing in a similar way to the rat skulls if I recall correctly? Is this some form of Investiture or am I reading into 1 line too much?
Has a kandra impersonated Mare?
Is it possible to worldhop from/through Patji's Eye? If yes, could a naturally Invested creature like a nightmaw worldhop?
Worldhopping is hard if you are not sapient--but yes, it happens.
As for Patji's Eye, RAFO.
Are we going to find out soon if the Parshendi are actually of Honor?
Yes. (You'll find out.)
Do Knights Radiants live longer than regular people?
You'll have to read and find out.
Have the Bondsmiths ever had a Shardblade? Have any of the Bondsmiths had Shardblades?
RAFO! Good question. Good question.
I was wondering if you could tell me anything about Longshadow?
No quirks, personality traits, favorite kind of shirt?
Is there a Shard named Survival?
Is Odium is still influencing Vyre after all the Taravangian stuff?
That's a RAFO. Odium will have interesting, different relationships with a lot of different, interesting people in the next book.
Eshonai mentions that the Stormfather (rather, the Rider of Storms to her) was one of the spren who betrayed the listeners for the humans.
Was the Rider of Storms around before Honor and Cultivation arrived on Roshar?
Is the Stormfather composed partly of Cultivation's Investiture?
One of Kaladin's early chasm duties, he examines a very distinctive knife with a figure at the center of the hilt, nicely carved with a man of fine armor... How similar is this knife to the one Moash used?
Will we see any information, book, story, or just Word of Brandon in general on the fourth Shard that Odium has vanquished?
Eventually I will talk about it. I don't want to talk about it now, but I will talk about it. So no, that’s a RAFO.
Have we seen a Svrakiss in a book so far?
Can you tell us anything about Svrakiss, like are they originally from Sel?
Um... I'm not going to go into that.
Can every Cognitive Shadow be affected by silver?
RAFO! Good question!
In terms of character development, I've noticed you you tend to be concentrated on Twinborns and Mistings, in your new series. Are you going to be exploring the full Mistborn?
Am I going to be exploring full Mistborn in other books. That's kind of a RAFO, which means Read And Find Out. I will-- I am very interested in telling these intimate stories in the Mistborn world right now and Mistborn have kind of fallen out of the world. There aren't many, if any, of them left, but who knows what will happen in the future. So that's what we call a RAFO.
Has Jasnah come up with her armor? Because there's a part where they say that geometric shapes were kind of disappearing and it wasn't like someone changing like they normally would.
I will RAFO that for now.
[conversation about the inhabited South Pole of Scadrial, and whether there are currently any other inhabited landmasses]
RAFO. (Obviously.) :)
Does Trell hold a Shard that we have seen in other books?
You're assuming Trell holds a Shard. And I'm not answering that one, but you can have a RAFO. Nice try.
Trellium could be Hemalurgy-viable without Trell messing with magic?
Yeah, I'll go ahead and give you [a RAFO card].
I've got a last question from a friend of mine. Could the light at the end of Oathbringer have been seen by another Surgebinder?
I expected that.
1) Will the truth of how Evi really died matter to Dalinar's sons? In other words, is it reasonable to expect Adolin, most notably, will react negatively given he believes his father would have never burned the Rift?
2) Dalinar claims he could forgive Adolin for not being the man he thought he was. Is it reasonable to expect this is easier said than done?
1) It would be reasonable to expect that many people (Adolin foremost among them) will react negatively to the truth--which is indeed contained in Dalinar's book.
2) Yes, I would say that's a reasonable expectation as well.
Thank you for the answer, I much appreciate it. Can I ask if it is reasonable to expect some ramifications with respect to those elements within the next book or if this won't be on topic?
We're getting into RAFO territory, I'm afraid.
How is Luck used?
Luck you mean like, Fortune? That is also a RAFO, because I'm saving it for future books. There are clues in the books.
If you attempted to use Hemalurgy on a gold compounder, would they survive?
I'll RAFO that. There are certain things...follow the lead of the books as they explain this more and more. It's an excellent question that you should be asking, but I'm not going to answer right now.
Random question! Will we see any cosmere characters crossing over from other series in this book? The 3rd book seems like a good point to start messing with that, since we have settled into the world, IMO.
Is Lift capable of touching other spren?
I'll RAFO that for now. I could wiggle out of that one easily, but I won't. I'll not answer the question you're asking, rather than the one you're not asking.
How's Nightblood going to react to Szeth's spren?
Hmmmm! I'll give you a RAFO on that, here's your card.
Lemmex. In [Warbreaker] when he's dying he pulses. And later Vasher says that it's rare. What is it...? Don't tell me RAFO...
*presumably hands RAFO card* *stander-by laughs*
